In Austria, the parliament has adopted on Wednesday a law adopted in primary schools wearing prohibits ” any garment, ideological, or religious background that covers the head’. The right-wing government makes no secret of the fact that the headscarf is endorsed.

To arm themselves against allegations of discrimination against muslims doesn’t allow the new legal text ” any garment, ideological, or religious background that covers the head’.

The conservative ÖVP and the far-right FPÖ together a governing coalition forms, there is however no secret of the fact that the islamic headscarf is required. So said a spokesman of the FPÖ that the law is “a signal against the political islam,” while ÖVP’Rudolf Taschner insured that the measure is necessary to girls to protect against ‘submission’. The government made, in its turn, clearly, that the turban of the sikhs or jewish keppels, however, still allowed.

Almost all the members of the opposition voted against the law. Some accuse the government of it, especially in the media to want to come, instead of working with the well-being of children.
