Florent Manaudou returns from zwempensioen. The Frenchman, who quit the sport three years ago farewell, but once again has meaning in competition. The olympic champion in the 50 meter freestyle of the London 2012 announced his comeback in l’equipe.
“I started more and more to miss. Over the past few years I have done things that I already wanted to do, such as handball and acting, but now I want to compete again to enter. I’ve been meaning to work out, again the fun back to find out that there was nothing more on the Games in Rio.”
Manaudou stopped swimming shortly after he in 2016 in Rio silver had won the 50m free and the 4x100m free.
The Frenchman, 28, is aiming for in his second career at the Games of Tokyo 2020, but especially for its own people in Paris in 2024. “Of course the expectations are high-strung,” realizes Manaudou, good for four world titles in the large bath. “But I take things as they come. I hope very soon to swim. But even I don’t know to what I am capable of.”
