PS wil extreemrechtse dreiging in België opnieuw evalueren

PS-leader Ahmed Laaouej has speaker of Siegfried Bracke asked to as quickly as possible the police and the intelligence services, to convene. He wants the parliament with them and the ministers of Justice and Home Affairs, the far-right threat in Belgium to re-evaluate.

Laaouej did this the day after the attacks in the New Zealand city of Christchurch, where 49 people by an extreme right-wing terrorist were killed.

‘Previous reports made reference to an increase of that threat, and after what happened in New Zealand happened should we risk re-evaluation’, showed Laaouej Saturday to the news agency Belga. ‘That does not aim, to sow panic among the population, but to a besmettingseffect.

Laaouej, which in addition to Kamerfractieleider also the mayor of Koekelberg, from the chief of police of the police zone West (Molenbeek, Jette, Ganshoren, Sint-Agatha-Berchem and sint-jans-molenbeek) the guarantee is given that the zone is in a state of increased vigilance. That happens among other things by more patrols by police in the vicinity of mosques.
